Aloha Lake, a Sacramento City reservoir.
The contrast of the blue
water, stark gray granite walls, unseemly floating boulders - and among
the bare lodgepoles - made this lake as stunning as any I saw on the
John Muir section of the PCT.
These kind
folks were staying at the Mellow Mountain Hostel with me. They were kind
enough to give me a lift back to the trailhead from South Lake Tahoe!
Day hikers who were cheering me on my journey!

This group of four gals were coming down Dick's Pass when we met. I always enjoy chatting with other hikers. Their encouragement was so welcomed especially since I was on the Pass ascent!
Worth the View

Hi Jean - we are still cheering you on! Amazed at your courage and journey. Thumbs Up!
