Here is Moira in her full battle gear for Andy's 6:30am walk.  it was in the low 50's. You can only imagine how bundled up she gets when it's really cold....
Andy is the star of the trail.  The hikers know him.  He's a great camper, according to Moira.
This live Oak tree on the north side of Warner Springs, was near the site of the Butterfield Stagecoach stop that ran from St. Louis in the 1850's. These are the real deal- they are not pics from South Carolina!!

The last time I saw a prairie dog colony..there was plexiglass over the hole entrances..and I think it was at the New Orleans zoo! I guess they didn't get that memo.

Cooler temps with cloudy skies across flat prairie like stretches...made for an easier hiking day.
